I am still working on the conversion software. Progress is pretty quick, all things considered. I am getting more and more impressed by Drupal, since it looks like somebody who has a solid understanding of databases designed the DB layout. I was able to use the procedure outlined in the drupal forums... Turns out that heavy manual interaction is still faster than writing a whack of code.

I hope to have my blog entries in by tonight.

UPDATE: All of my old blog updates are now installed, and it looks like I didn't lose any information. On the down side, I had to delete all of the comments, since they were mostly comment spam. Boohoo.

I have yet to complete the script that will translate all of my old blog posts into the current site. I am planning to insert ALL of my old posts into the drupal based blog here, but there is no existing tool to do that job. Because of this, I will have to write one from scratch. I have started, but I want to make the tool flexible enough to be usable by anyone who wants to do the same thing. I will of course submit the tool back to the drupal team once it is finished. Once this is done, my old blog will be replaced with redirects to this site. Update: The conversion was done manually.

First of all, don't panic! The old content for Army of Evil Robots is still here, in this directory.

Army Of Evil Robots™ is being upgraded. I am adding several new features. First of all, there will be multiple users, and aggregated news. This is mostly because Quoth and yours truly have separate, and apparently unrelated blogs. Next up, the movable type system is reaching it's limitations in both spam rejection and freedom to expand.

Because of these limitations, I am moving to Drupal. Not only is the drupal platform completely free, but it has a multitude of modules available. One of these is an online store, through which I hope to sell (eventually) the belligerator robot. I will also be hosting pictures and videos of interesting robot news.
